All of the principles of drawing can be found in the human figure. In this class the student will work from life in a variety of mediums. Attention will be paid to: movement, proportions, anatomy, and the underlying geometric construction of the figure. The objective of this class is to gain the knowledge necessary to conceptualize the figure as well as to create individual works of art. Demonstrations and critiques will be given. This class is open to age 18+.
Throughout this class different drawing mediums and materials will be discussed and demonstrated. Students are encouraged to explore and discover what they prefer.

Model Fee:
Each class registration includes a $50 model supply fee.
Student Supply List:
- 18×24 acid free drawing pad or 18×24 newsprint pad (if cost is an issue)
- drawing board (to clamp pad or paper to)
- large clips (to hold paper to board)
- Prismacolor ebony pencil and/or
- vine charcoal (of assorted hardnesses) and/or charcoal pencils (of assorted hardnesses)
- utility knife (for sharpening pencils)
- sandpaper (for sharpening pencils)
- kneaded erasure
- fixative

Cancellation Policy
Students will receive a refund of tuition minus 10% if the student contacts us no later than 7 days prior to the first day of class. Cancellations up to 48 hours before the start of the class will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations within 48 hours before the start of the class, or after the class has begun will not be refunded. In the case of an emergency, the student may be able to transfer their payment towards another class based on availability.
Class sizes are limited and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, FCAC is unable to prorate students for missed classes or classes that they are unable to attend.
