Going back in time campers will learn about the first forms of human expression from the cave paintings of Lascaux, to exploring the art of storytelling on Egyptian vases and pyramids. Highlights this week include paper making, paint making, and weaving!

This week of camp is inspired by the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling! The magic of art will be explored as campers create their own “houses,” make spell books, wizard hats, capes, potions, design their dream Hogwarts castle, and more!
In this enchanting week of camp, students will learn about myths and magical creatures from around the world. Projects will include drawing, mixed media, sewing, and more!
The classic Wizard of Oz story comes alive this week! Campers will explore the iconic characters, create their own Emerald City, make masks, and learn about perspective and color. Each day of camp will include reading an excerpt from the children’s book, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Peter Clover.
Campers this week will learn about story building, character development, setting, plot and resolution. The comics will take on a life of their own through drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more.
In this week of camp students will use recycled and natural materials to create works of art. 3-D construction, nature weaving, sculpture, and more will be featured this week!
In this camp students will take their creative cue from modern artists to reimagine how to create art and experiment with different materials. Highlights include discussion on artists and a “trip,” to Gallery 1060 on FCAC’s campus.
Zebras, lions, elephants, Nile crocodiles, monkeys, and hippos are the stars this week of camp! Campers will be inspired by African art, and the animals and landscape of the Serengeti.
