The Glass Program Director is a full time position with vacation and benefits. FCAC seeks an experienced, entrepreneurial leader with the ability, stature, and track record to respond effectively to the opportunities and challenges presented in leading our Glass Department. Ceramics Internship – NEXT POSITION AVAILABLE to begin in August 2022
The Ceramics internship is a 6-month position that provides emerging clay artists with professional experience in an active, public-access studio. Working under the supervision of the Ceramics Studio Manager and Ceramics Instructors, the intern gains an in-depth understanding of maintenance and operation of a variety of ceramics equipment, assisting in recycling clay, mixing glazes, firing kilns and working with clay artists of all levels. Interns work 20 hours per week and should expect to lift up to 50 pounds in their regular duties. A monthly stipend and studio access are provided. Internship term runs from the beginning of August through the end of the year.
Glass Internship – currently on hold
The Glass internship is a 6-month position that provides emerging glass artists with professional experience in an active, public-access studio. Working under the supervision of the Glass Studio Manager and Glass Studio Technician, the intern gains an in-depth understanding of maintenance and operation of a variety of glass-working equipment, assisting in programming and working with glass makers of all levels. Interns will work 20 hours per week and should expect to lift up to 50 pounds in their regular duties. A monthly stipend and studio access are provided. Internship terms run from February 1-July 31, August 1-January 30th.
