SAC: Creating with Clay

Saturday Art Classes are perfect for beginners, all ages and abilities are welcome. This fun mini-workshop provides an opportunity for friends and family to participate together in the art making process and to try out a new art medium.

Projects include functional vessels, and items such as bowls, cups, boxes with lids, birdhouses and boats. Clay and use of tools included.

This class will use air-dry clay and pieces can be taken home the day of the class. Once the pieces dry out completely after a week or two (depending on humidity), they can be painted with acrylic paints!

Please note- this is a mixed age class, children and adults.

Please note: finished projects are for decorative use only, they are not food-safe or dishwasher-safe.

Preregistration ($18) is required to secure your space in the class. Prepayment is required for registration.

Creating with Clay Classes are typically offered the 2nd Saturday each month, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Classroom Location: SAC classes are held in the Youth Art Program Classroom. When entering the parking lot from De Soto street, the classroom is to your immediate right. Look for the colorful geometric mural!
