Yoga and Art for Kids
Yoga and Art for kids is offered as a monthly package, including 2 classes per month. Classes meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday, 10 am-12 pm.
This class offers children the opportunity to express themselves through art and creative movement.
The teacher leads the class through playful breathing exercises to promote focus, awareness, and a sense of calm. During the yoga component of the class, children explore fun poses, stretches, games, and mindful activities.
Following yoga, the children create a work of art based on the theme explored in yoga such as the earth, animals, or the ocean. Children learn about elements of art such as line, composition, form, and color in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Projects involve various media such as painting, collage, pottery, and drawing.
Please send your child in comfortable clothes that allow free movement, a water bottle, and a snack.
