Holiday Open Studio Special Dec. 10 -Dec. 30- $100
To use the Ceramics Open Studio you must:
- Be currently enrolled in a six-week ceramics class at First City Art Center; OR
- Pay for an open studio package.
All non-students using open studio are required to pay first, attend a 30-minute orientation and sign a liability waiver.
If you are a member of the Pottery Guild, Open Studio Rates are discounted based on volunteer hours worked at FCAC per month. All Pottery Guild members must remain active members of FCAC to receive discounts. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a member of the Pottery Guild. Open Studio Pricing:
Includes use of ceramics department equipment and tools to create clay items — glazing is NOT included in this pricing. If using personal glazes on FCAC site, customer should pay this fee.
Member: $93.50 per month
Non-Member: $110 per month
Use of FCAC glazes, glaze tools and use of FCAC facility for glazing only.
Member: $25.50 per month
Non-Member: $30 per month
Electric Kiln Firing:
Items will be fired along with student work.
Member: $51 per month
Non-Member: $60 per month
One month of all-inclusive open studio, glazing, electric kiln firing.
Member: $170 per month
Non-Member: $200 per month
- Prices shown are for the electric kilns only. Gas and Raku kilns have separate pricing.
- Billing starts on the first of the month and runs through the last day of each month.
- Student work has priority for filling the kiln.
- Work left on the shelves over 45 days will be removed.
We are a distributor for Standard Ceramic Supply Company and Laguna Clay. We have a wide variety of clays for purchase, in addition to a limited supply of clay tools, brushes, and glaze materials. Students will receive a refund of tuition minus 10% if the student contacts us no later than 7 days prior to the first day of class. Cancellations up to 48 hours before the start of the class will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations within 48 hours before the start of the class, or after the class has begun will not be refunded. In the case of an emergency, the student may be able to transfer their payment towards another class based on availability.
Class sizes are limited and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, FCAC is unable to prorate students for missed classes or classes that they are unable to attend.
