2024 Teen Summer Art Camps

This week brings together both visual arts and the performing arts of music! Campers will learn how they come together to influence one another, inspiring their own masterpieces. We will be partnering with the Pensacola Liberation Center’s One Mic program to experience producing our own music!

This week, students will learn about the fundamentals and history of photography. We will explore technical aspects such as understanding exposure through cyanotypes, the evolution of photography and cameras throughout the past two centuries, and the design aspect of photo taking. All accumulating into a rounded introduction of how to start capturing the world around them. A camera is not required, but highly encouraged if child has access to one such as a smartphone or a small digital camera. No analog (film) cameras.

Learn how to make paper and explore various printmaking processes while experimenting with textures and design. From monotypes like gel plate printing to relief printing collagraphs like carving linoleum, students get an introduction to a range of techniques.
