First City Art Center "Wish List"

First City Art Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and could not run without donations and the ongoing support of volunteers!

We are often asked, “what supplies do you need?” This is a list of items for which we always have need:

If you have items you’d like to donate, please call  the FCAC office at 850-429-1222 to arrange a drop-off time. All donations are tax deductible.

From the Recycle Bin:

  • Clean styrofoam food containers (mushroom containers, meat trays, etc.)
  • Newspaper
  • Magazines

Donations We Are Looking For!

  • Drawing paper (unused sketch books, large paper pads, etc.)
  • Tape (all kinds – masking, painters, duct, packing)
  • Water colors (liquid and tube)
  • Paint brushes
  • Acrylic paint
  • Canvas (no larger than 12×18″)
  • Spray paint
  • Functioning DVD player
  • Stuffing for textile projects (cotton or poly fill)
  • Embroidery needles
  • Solid colored cotton fabrics (at least 12×12 inch pieces)
  • Felt (at least 12×12 inch pieces)
  • Large beads (pony beads, letter beads, plastic, any material)
  • Magazines

Please do not donate the following items

  • Scrap fabric (smaller than 12×12″)
  • Used painting canvases
  • Unknown glass materials or glass to recycle
  • Oil paint
  • Tempera paint
  • Crayons

Pottery:

  • Clear plastic bags – dry cleaning bags are perfect or .7 mil clear dropcloth plastic
  • Kemper pottery tools
  • Needle Tools/Pin Tools are always needed
  • Foam brushes 1″
  • Decorating Brushes
  • Speedball pottery wheel bats

Tools and Equipment:

  • Woodworking tools/equipment
  • Metal working tools
  • Tile saw
