Post BFA Glass Internship
The internship will provide professional experience in an active public-access studio. Working under the supervision of the Glass Arts Fellow, the intern will gain an in-depth understanding of maintenance and operation of a variety of glass-working equipment, assisting in programming, and working with glass makers of all levels. Interns can expect to work up to 20 hours per week and should expect to lift up to 50 lbs. in their regular duties. Internship terms run from January 1st-June 30, July 1st-December 31st.
Art Education Internship
The Arts Education Intern will gain experience working at a nonprofit art center under the direction of FCAC staff. The intern will assist with program planning, implementation of curriculum, and daily operations of the organization. The position may be tailored depending on the applicant’s major, experience, career interests, and skills. The Arts Education Internship provides an invaluable opportunity to explore career possibilities within the art field.
Glass Arts Fellowship
This residency is for artists looking for opportunities for professional development in their body of work, or in the area of arts education and community outreach. Ideal for recent graduates, faculty on sabbatical or professionals who wish to branch out from the traditional studio experience to gain a new perspective. This residency offers a 2 year focused incubation in a community studio environment. Great attitude, communication, collaborative spirit and self-motivation are essential. Must have a strong service ethic and desire to create educational programs that will sustain into the future.
